What are Permanent Eyebrows?
Here at Cambridge Micropigmentation Centre, as the name suggests, we specialise in providing our clients with scalp micropigmentation, but we are also able to use this technology to provide permanent eyebrows in Cambridge. Today we are going to explain exactly what we mean by permanent brows and tell you all about the treatments we offer from our Cambridge clinic.

Permanent Eyebrows Defined

Whilst the process of microblading is similar to that of a tattoo, the ink is different in that as the colour fades, the hue remains the same, ensuring it matches with your natural eyebrow hair colour. Once the ink pigment has been matched, this is applied to the natural brow area in fine brush strokes, which are blended with your existing hair. Rather than using a machine, microblading is done by hand, so that it won’t bleed. This also means that the ink does not penetrate as deeply as a traditional tattoo, so it will fade over time and require touch-ups to maintain the look. A powder effect can also add more definition to the brows, enhancing the natural shape and arch of your brow.

Our Permanent Eyebrow Treatments

At Cambridge Micropigmentation Centre, our treatments are available for both men and women. We offer a variety of styles of eyebrows, helping those wanting a more defined brow such as through our powdered effect, as well as those who have suffered from hair loss, looking for eyebrow reconstruction. We can provide male and female brow reconstruction, which will increase the fullness to your eyebrows, whether you would like a masculine or feminine look. Each treatment option varies in price, depending on the style that you desire. For a total eyebrow treatment, you can expect to pay £350, whilst microblading alone costs £325, and the powdered effect on its own is just £295.

Eyebrows on Trend

Since around 2010, we have seen a rise in popularity of the sculptured eyebrow, with social media influencers having shown off the look, featuring filled-in brows with pronounced angled arches and a sharp tail end, almost alluding to the look of winged eyeliner. Whilst a more natural look is now becoming more on trend, we continue to see an emphasis on having full, thick eyebrows. The trends may change, but we can adapt the design of your eyebrows to suit you, as now thick brows are becoming more textured and fluffier. The result is a combination of eyebrows that are both uniformly defined, yet more natural, offering an effortless style.
